JAPANESE DEEP HOUSE DUO SNOWK RELEASE “BIG LOVE” FEATURING LISET ALEA

TOKYO/PARIS – Japanese deep house duo Snowk release “Big Love” featuring Liset Alea, lead singer of acclaimed French band Nouvelle Vague, out 6th February 2026. The collaboration marks a striking meeting of minds across continents—Japanese production finesse encountering Parisian vocal sensuality in a track that exists in the suspended moment between restraint and abandon, memory and desire.

“We’re thrilled to be releasing beautiful melodic house/deep house to kick off 2026,” Snowk explain. “I still remember the first time I heard Liset Alea’s lyrics and melody whilst producing—the imagery that came to mind moved me deeply.”

For Liset Alea—the Cuban-born, Europe-shaped vocalist whose sultry, hypnotic voice became a signature of Nouvelle Vague’s Parisian bossa-electronica movement—the collaboration felt effortless from the first exchange.

“From the first exchange with Snowk there was an effortless flow—no explanations needed, no egos in the room. Just trust, intuition, and a shared sensitivity for detail,” Alea reflects. “Their production choices felt precise and emotional at once: minimal, intentional, deeply felt. I admired how every sound was allowed to breathe, how silence itself became part of the conversation. Writing together felt natural, as if the song already existed somewhere and we were simply uncovering it together.”

The song tells the story of a fleeting but seismic encounter: two strangers meeting by chance, carrying past loves, stepping briefly into something vast and reckless. “Big Love” exists in that suspended moment—between restraint and abandon, between memory and desire—where time dissolves and everything feels possible, even if only for a weekend.

“It’s a song about intensity without promises, about connection without ownership,” Alea continues. “A love that doesn’t ask to last forever—only to be fully lived.”

Snowk—a music project by DJ/producers Yutaka Takanami and Fuminori Kagajo, both born in snow country—produce music with a sense of floating like powder snow lying gently onto urban asphalt pavement roads. Flowing sweet, sorrowful, and nostalgic feelings like snowdrift, their sound channels the duality of their origins: both intimate and expansive, minimal yet emotionally vast.

Upon releasing debut track “Catching Feels” in May 2019, they simultaneously received an offer from Paris-based Kitsuné Musique and released “This Is Good feat. Miraa May.” That same year, they were selected for ‘Kitsuné Musique Best Tracks 2019’. Their track “Not Yours” (created with French producer Nude and Malaysian singer Froya) was listed on Spotify’s official ‘New Music Friday’ playlist in 16 countries worldwide.

Their deep house track “Miyanomori” was picked up by YouTube’s largest video channel, TheSoundYouNeed (over 5.5 million subscribers, 2.6 billion total views), earning recognition from music lovers overseas. Following their debut album ‘Powder’ (22nd January 2021), they’ve been featured in Mixmag Asia and CLASH Magazine, gaining significant international attention.

Liset Alea, born in Cuba and shaped by two decades in Europe, channels a cosmopolitan wanderer’s spirit into electronic music. Her unmistakable voice—sultry, hypnotic, and effortlessly emotive—first reached international acclaim as lead singer of Nouvelle Vague, where she redefined classics with a sensual, breath-lit tone that became a signature of the Parisian bossa-electronica movement.

Today, Liset stands firmly at the crossroads of songcraft and club culture. A magnetic presence in studio and on stage, she creates electronic landscapes that pulse with sophistication and emotional depth. Her collaborations with Rodriguez Jr., Patrick Topping, Alexkid, Audiojack, and other forward-thinking producers reveal an artist equally at home in melodic house, deep techno, and hybrid live performance.

With “Big Love,” Snowk and Liset Alea deliver warm, cinematic, and unmistakably modern artistry that blurs boundaries between intimate storytelling and the kinetic world of electronic music—inviting listeners into a universe where voice and machine move as one, where fleeting encounters become eternal through sound.
