CLUBBY BOY UNLEASHES WAREHOUSE POWER ON ‘CLUBBY BOY LP’

With Clubby Boy LP, producer and DJ Clubby Boy launches the harder, warehouse-facing ethos of his BOXX BANGERS imprint with a confident statement of intent. Known for weaving deep and soulful selections into his DJ sets, here he flips the script entirely, delivering a ten-track album rooted in big room pressure, electro grit and techno muscle. The result is a record that feels designed for cavernous spaces, late hours and high-volume sound systems.

Opening track “10 Drops Of Lavender” sets the tone with rolling percussion and thick, hypnotic synth layers that gradually build tension rather than explode immediately. It’s a clever entry point that is restrained enough to draw the listener in, yet unmistakably geared toward the dancefloor. From there “Battle Hound” ups the intensity, driven by pounding kicks and snarling basslines that carry a raw, almost industrial edge.

“Anti-Hero” injects a sleeker electro techno flavour into the mix, balancing sharp rhythmic programming with a dark melodic thread. It’s one of the album’s most immediate cuts, while “ADD Eddie” leans further into rave energy, combining restless percussion with playful synth stabs that feel primed for peak time chaos.

At nearly eight minutes, “BANG IT! BANG IT!” is the album’s centrepiece. Built for maximum impact, it stretches out into a relentless warehouse ready workout full of pounding drums and driving loops that feel tailor made for long blends in the DJ booth. It’s the kind of track that thrives on big systems and sweaty rooms.

Midway through the record, “Murmur” provides a subtle shift in tone, pulling back slightly into a more hypnotic groove without losing the album’s core intensity. Then comes “Suck Me, Fuck Me”, a cheeky, no nonsense club weapon that doubles down on attitude and energy, pairing punchy rhythms with a mischievous edge.

“Tall Boy” keeps the momentum flowing with rolling techno propulsion, its groove locked in tightly while textures ebb and evolve around it. By contrast, “Charms” adds a slightly more melodic dimension, layering shimmering synths over a sturdy rhythmic foundation.

Closing track “Low Bells” rounds things out with a darker, brooding mood. Its deep tones and steady pulse feel like the final stretch of a long night in the warehouse, hypnotic, heavy and subtly emotional beneath the surface.

Across the album, Clubby Boy’s experience as a DJ shines through. Each track feels purpose built for mixing, with arrangements that breathe and evolve over extended runtimes. Yet despite the variety touching on hard house, electro and techno, the record maintains a cohesive identity. It reflects an artist comfortable navigating multiple corners of club music while maintaining a signature sonic character.

Clubby Boy LP is ultimately a celebration of dancefloor functionality. These are bold, high energy tracks engineered for big rooms and late night moments. As the inaugural long player on BOXX BANGERS, it signals a clear direction for the label with uncompromising, warehouse ready sounds from a producer deeply rooted in the culture of the DJ booth.
